Friday 3rd Jun 2005.

Day 1 of Camp Seeonee/ VLTC

i arrived late at about 3 in the afternoon after remedials and i had to detour abit to get solid fuel for the camp. as i arrived i saw a HUGE bunch of pri sch kids (60 kids) crowding around Paul. i wondered how long it has been since i saw tt many pri sch kids. aged 5-10. from den on i was called Venture Brian. =P... no matter how many times i say it to myself...it still sounds weird but it works for the kiddos.

the rest of the day was basically veri stressful. now i noe wad a kindergarden teacher feels like...HaX..as dusk approached the ventures had to prepare for the urban night hike for the cadets. lets say i was assigned my own patrol....cute group...but they had a 5 yr old kid in it...so i ended up having to piggyback him back to Gongshang pri (tampines) from Pasir Ris park when he got reeeeal tired.

on a little side note: after we reached back to gongshang...with my back a little sore...=X... i juz realised tt after carrying Arjan (the kid on my back)..i can get part-time as a 'mr nanny' to put it simply by her...haha.. maybe it was a lucky thing i msgd her when i did. not onli it made my night better, it was great to pass the free time i had while waiting for all 10 patrols to gather which took about an hour...the patrol i was wif was patrol no. 4. imagine the boredom. ~ ^_^...

after we settled supper for them we put them to sleep..relief!!!!

NOT!

while the ventures were resting..some playing monopoly...the cadets one by one came out for their tents complaining it was hot...smelly...and other crap....
which meant the ventures couldn't sleep...not even a wink!.
By the time we managed to put them all to sleep. it was about...3-4 in the morn. den the ventures managed to sleep abit b4 we woke up at 6 to prepare stuff for the kids.
